In the emptiness there is quiet

In the quiet there is calm

In the calm there is peace

If only I could hush my thoughts, 
if I could dampen my fears, 
soften the world; find the serenity

Somewhere there is stillness

Somewhere there is tranquillity

Somewhere there is peace

If only it was in my life, 
if only it was in my domain, 
if only it were in my mind; 
discovery of harmony and repose
