I have another blog of miscellaneous essays and poetry. I started this one to specifically share the unanticipated poetry that comes to me during acupuncture. Haikus come easy In the contemplative zone Under the Needles

Vernal Hymn
I’m a bird above the water
I’m a fish beneath the waves
I soar both wind and currents
Swim the tides ‘mid sunken caves
I course the windswept waters
as Selkie and as Man
I ride the windborne cloud trails
as kite or kestrel can
I bound across the mountains
I gallop ‘cross the plains
I’m breeze and swell and salt spray
I’m sunlight and I’m rain.
I’m hoof beats and I’m wolf howl
Dawn chorus and whale song
I’m breath and exhalation
of all things I belong
Ronda R. Scott-Marak

Close your eyes, breathe slowly, and just drift on the breeze, on the waves, over the land.
